One step closer to the support you deserve

Birth is a Rite of Passage. You deserve to be honored through it.

Pregnancy invites a flood of opinions — where to give birth, what to buy, how to prepare. With so many voices competing for your attention, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or even disconnected from what you truly want.

This season of your life isn’t about following someone else’s script. It’s about finding confidence in your own voice and preparing for childbirth in a way that reflects your values and honors your body.

What if preparing for birth felt grounding instead of stressful? What if it reflected your values, your desires, and your family?

You deserve more than rushed prenatal appointments or ‘fill out this birthplan’ template of care. You deserve a birth and postpartum doula who will walk alongside you on your unique childbirth journey. A thoughtful guide who sees you and your partner as whole people who are expanding your family with your newborn—a doula who listens deeply and trusts that with thoughtful support, you are capable of finding your own meaningful path forward.

“Rebecca was truly the perfect energy to have by our side during birth — calm, grounded, and intuitive. She supported me physically through contractions with movement and positioning, and emotionally by helping us advocate for ourselves and make medical decisions we felt good about every step of the way.”

My Mission as a Doula

Birth, parenting, and new siblings can be messy and emotional transitions for everyone involved.

As a birth and postpartum doula, I desire to be a calming and grounding presence through all of the ups and downs of the journey, and help families find their best path forward.

There is little that is black and white in life, but our culture presents so many choices as only good or bad, dangerous or safe. I observe that most of the options in birth are actually quite grey, and there is a lot of room for choice.

I believe a person’s values and life experiences offer great value in navigating this Rite of Passage. Birthing people actually carry a lot more wisdom and knowledge than they may have thought initially.

I focus on providing compassionate, thoughtful care tailored to their needs and priorities. I trust that with information and the right support, they are capable of finding their best way forward.

MY DESIRE as a doula IS TO

Guide families through pregnancy and parenthood, and help you find a path that feels true and meaningful to you.

Certifications & Accreditations

“Our labor and delivery was such a positive, empowering experience, and we attribute so much of that to our birth team.

Rebecca supported me physically through contractions with movement and positioning, and emotionally by helping us advocate for ourselves and make decisions we felt good about every step of the way.

We are so inspired by our birth and will carry this experience with us always.”

“Rebecca was a constant source of knowledge, empowerment, and calm. During my birth she was incredibly present when I needed it but also less visible when I needed space.

She was an effective advocate with my OB and the nursing staff and asked helpful questions to ensure I got the best care. Postpartum, she was a lifesaver in terms of thinking through breastfeeding and helping my husband and I get into a bit of a routine. I cannot recommend her enough!”

“At the hospital, Rebecca struck an incredible balance between advocating doggedly for my wife and providing gentle, caring, emotional support. Her skills transformed our birthing experience and I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“I couldn't have made a better choice in working with Rebecca. Rebecca's warmth and obvious passion for what she does carried me from pregnancy through postpartum. I'll be honest... I didn't really need any other resources. She was everything to me and my husband and also made me feel so safe and calm during the delivery of my son. I cannot recommend her highly enough!”

-Alissa, Huntington Hospital, Pasadena, CA

““The best gift I gave myself was hiring Rebecca as my postpartum doula.

Rebecca provided me with so much emotional support. She answered my endless questions as a first time parent and helped instill in me a sense of confidence in my own intuition. She helped me process this radical change of becoming a parent and my birth experience. I cannot imagine a better person than Rebecca to have in your corner in the birthing process.”

Doula Support FAQs

Where in Los Angeles do you offer doula services?

I primarily work with families in and around Pasadena, including South Pasadena, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Altadena, Silver Lake, Glendale, Mt. Washington, and Echo Park. In some cases, I travel up to 15 miles from Pasadena for births or postpartum care when it feels like a good fit. If you’re interested in working together, please reach out — I’m happy to discuss your location and see if I can make it work!

What does a birth doula do?

A birth doula provides continuous, individualized support before, during, and after birth. I help you understand your options, offer comfort measures, guide partners, and create an environment that promotes calm and connection. My practice blends evidence-based education with holistic care — so your experience is both informed and deeply attuned to your body and emotions.

How is a doula different from a midwife?

A doula offers non-medical, emotional, physical, and informational support. Midwives provide clinical management of labor and medical safety. My role as a doula is to help you feel grounded, informed, and confident — bridging evidence-based information with a holistic approach that honors your choices and supports your nervous system throughout the birthing process.

At which hospitals and birth centers do you offer your birth doula services?

I offer doula support for births in all hospitals and birth centers throughout Los Angeles. Most commonly, these include Moxie Birth Center, UCLA, Cedars-Sinai, Huntington, all Kaiser Hospitals, and St. Joseph’s. My trauma-informed approach adapts to each environment, collaborating respectfully with your care team while ensuring that your preferences and voice are at the center of your decision-making. Regardless of where you give birth, my focus remains on providing holistic, individualized support.

Can you be my birth doula for an LA home birth?

Yes, absolutely. I support births in homes, birth centers, and hospitals throughout Los Angeles. If you’re planning a home birth, I work collaboratively with your midwife to ensure you have continuous, holistic support that complements your clinical care.

My role as your doula is to help create a calm and grounded environment, offer comfort measures, and support you and your partner in feeling confident and connected throughout labor. Every home birth is unique, and I adapt my approach to fit your preferences, your midwife’s care style, and the energy of your space.

What does a postpartum doula do?

As a postpartum doula, I provide holistic, evidence-based support in your home after birth, helping you rest, recover, and adjust to life with your new baby. I’m there to offer calm, informed guidance —never pushy or judgmental— so you can tune into your own intuition and values as new parents. My service area is within 10 10-mile radius of the Pasadena area.
